First Fish Ceremony- September 5, 2019Discover deep-rooted traditions, sample delicious first nation fare and learn intricate games of chance, as you celebrate the annual return of salmon to the Raft River.The event is held at the Raft River Viewing Platform in Clearwater. On this day, Simcpw invites guests to participate in several activities that highlight Simcpw’s culture and history, including pit cooking, sockeye salmon viewing, storytelling and a traditional game called Lehal. Jack Garton and the Demon Sqaudron at Wildflour Cafe - September 25, 2019Put your dancing shoes on, or kick them off, but be ready to shake it. A full on band with not only an accordion lead but a trumpet that will blow the roof off. Jack Garton and the Demon Squadron be laying down some serious live music at the café on a fabulous Wednesday evening in September. Latin Night at the Clearwater Ski Hill - September 27, 2019 The night you've been waiting for all year is finally back! We're bringing you Latin Night with a touch of Afro-beat:) To make it extra fun, the suggested attire is TROPICAL! We'll kick off the night with a Salsa-ton lesson taught by the beautiful and one and only Andrea Valček Valovičová to get you fired-up for the night. No dance partner required. Doors at 8PM. Clearwater Farmers Market and Elks Breakfast- May to October 2019, Every Saturday!Every Saturday from 9am-12pm, there is a Farmer's Market featuring local produce, baked goods, crafts and demonstrations. Located on the lawn of Interior Whitewater Expeditions, the market is the perfect place to pick-up artisan food and gifts. Hungry? Come early for a traditional Canadian breakfast hosted by the local Elks Association. Come rain or shine as tents are set-up to keep you dry and shaded while you mix with the locals. Stargazing and Sci-Fi Movie Festival- August 9, 2019The Dark Skies of Clearwater and Wells Gray make a perfect setting for seeing stars and the Milky Way!The evening starts with a free film screening of a retro sci-fi movie before the star gazing with BC Parks Astronmer Bill Burnyeat and his 16 inch diameter telescope!! Friday night August 9th, at the Wells Gray Air "star base" in Clearwater for this free event. Concession available. Doors open at 9:00PM. Film begins at 9:15 PM. Starviewing at close to 10:30 PM. May Day Parade - May 18, 2019
Come and join the locals to celebrate the arrival of spring sunshine in the annual "May day" parade in Clearwater, it takes place on the Saturday of the May long weekend at starts at 11am, plenty of parking is available and the Rotary Club provides a BBQ after the parade has finished.

June 2019- Summer Solstice Disc Golf TournamentThe Summer Solstice Tournament will be held at the Wells Gray Golf & RV Resort.The tournament this year will be a 2 day event, with 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes Sunday morning. Tentatively there will be a final 9 for all divisions that have 6 or more players. Also tentatively, carts will be used this year for the Master + age categories. Bring the whole family! February 17, 2018 - Night Ski and Apres Ski PartyThe Clearwater SKi Club presents an epic night ski and apres ski party! Complete skiing under the stars and with authentic Swiss style fondue and a DJ to get the party going, it's a night you won't want to miss! Starts at 5:30PM at the Clearwater Ski Hill. $40 for Lift Ticket, Fondue & Party. $25 for Fondue & Party, or $15 for lift ticket only. 5:30 Lift Opens. 7-9PM Delicious Apres Ski food. 9PM - Late DJ, Dancing and Party! January 28, 2019 - Rotary Ice Man Fishing Derby at Dutch Lake CANCELLEDJoin us for a wonderful event on Dutch Lake with views of Trophy and Raft Mountain. Cash prizes for the three biggest fish caught that day! It's fun for all the family with a barbecue, prizes and free ice fishing lessons given by BC Fisheries Societies for anyone new to the sport or needing to brush up their skills. Free fishing rods and holes will be available for children who wish to try at no cost! |

Birchleg, A Nordic Ski Fun Race! February 2, 2019The Birch Leg, similar to the Birkebeiner, is an annual ski event re-enacting a cross-country ski trip made by two Viking warriors in the 13th Century. This race is suitable for all levels of cross-country skiing and is a family-friendly activity.Mass start at 10am with finishing times between 11am-2pm. Prizes for best costume and registration fee includes a hot, traditional Norweigan lunch is included with your registration. The event takes place at the meticulously groomed Candle Creek Trail System just outside of Clearwater. Entry Fees range from $10 dollars for students to $40 for a family.
